Podio ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use the Podio mobile application.
By using Podio, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account information: When you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
Profile information: You may optionally provide a display name, bio, profile photo, and Instagram handle.
Location data: When you start a run, we collect GPS coordinates to track your route, calculate distance, and match your run to circuits. Location data is only collected while the app is in use and you have granted permission. We do not collect location data in the background.
Run data: We store your run history including distance, duration, pace, and route coordinates.
Device data: We collect a push notification token to send you activity notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app.
Other users: Your username, profile photo, run times, and leaderboard position are visible to other Podio users. Your run route may be visible as a ghost to users racing the same circuit.
Friends: Users you connect with as friends can see your activity feed, including your runs and reactions.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Podio requests foreground location permission to track your runs. We do not request background location access. Location data is transmitted to our servers to store your run route and is used to match your run to official circuits.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Without location permission, run tracking will not function.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data, run history, and profile information is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
For free users, personal circuits and their associated runs are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity.

Podio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
